Welcome to Setomaa.
The Setomaa Museums Foundation brings together houses that introduce the story of six places:
- Obinitsa Museum
- Saatse Seto Museum
- Värska Visitor Centre – Reek’s House
- Värska Farm Museum
- Luikjärve Farm
- Paloveere Farm
With the Seto Guide page, we offer an additional opportunity to discover Setomaa on your own, regardless of the time of year or day. When visiting the Saatse Seto Museum, be sure to take part in the game “Little Setomaa”, which will take you on a journey full of surprises near the Estonian-Russian border and through twelve Setomaa nulks.
Setomaa has always been a border area — between Western and Eastern culture and religion — and because of this it has its own kind of people who are neither this or that, just Setos. Have a great time exploring Setomaa!
